NISCU is involved in 61 of the 85 primary schools and so we see 7800 primary pupils.
We are also involved in 8 of the 13 secondary schools, and see 6100 secondary puplis.
We are therefore involved with 13,900 school age children in West Cumbria.

Primary Puppets teams
There has been a NISCU puppet team in West Cumbria since 1995.
‘Primary Puppets’ has been in existence since September 2003,
and currently consists of 2 teams.
Last year, we were able to take a puppet assembly into 61 different schools in West Cumbria. We have a vision to increase the number of NISCU puppet teams operating within West Cumbria, from 2 to 4.
We have close links with a puppet team in Romania, which some of us helped to establish in 2006.
